The Silverwater Correctional Complex underwent a major expansion and upgrade to meet the growing demand for correctional services in New South Wales. This significant project included the construction of four new 110-bed accommodation blocks, increasing the facility’s overall capacity by approximately 40%. In total, the upgrade allowed for an additional 440 inmates, with works encompassing both the development of new infrastructure and the refurbishment of existing buildings within the Metropolitan Remand and Reception Centre (MRRC).
