Chipping Norton is located 27 kilometres south-west of the Sydney CBD. In the past Chipping Norton was inhabited by the Tharawal people on the south, and the Darug people on the north and west. Its industries in the past moved from agriculture to mining, resulting to the need for the Chipping Norton Lakes Authority to rehabilitate the several damaged areas into parklands. Chipping Norton is the perfect place to do barbecues, or just to take a walk to enjoy the scenery.
