Chester Hill is located just 25 kilometres west of Central Sydney. The name 'Chester' is an English form of the Latin word 'castra' that translates to 'fortified camp'. The commercial center of Chester Hill is located in Chester Square, its main shopping centre. It caters for the catchment, not only of Chester Hill, but also of Sefton, Birrong, and Bass Hill.
