Castlereagh, Sydney, New South Wales
Castlereagh is located 67 kilometres north-west of the Sydney CBD. Castlereagh is truly one of the most historic sites when it concerns Australia's colonial history as it was proclaimed in December 1810 as one of the five Macquarie towns. Castlereagh's rich river flats enable its agricultural industry to thrive, and many of the pioneering families in the Penrith district originally resided in Castlereagh.
